Takemoto once again continues his journey and meets new people, including the grandma who had been to America. As he thinks back to the memories with his father about the train, Takemoto daydreams on his bike and falls over. As he sees the stars on the milkyway, he finds purpose in going on and returning.

After finally returning and receiving the gift from Morita, Takemoto enjoys the joys of free water as they head out to the night time festival. As they watch the fireworks, Takemoto finally tells Hagu how he feels.

After receiving a thankyou from Hagu, Takemoto seels the goods from his journey in a box, he feels that he can live on, that he was glad to return. He feels that he can keep running towards the future despite anxiety and confusion. Now, the sound emptiness of the fridge cannot be heard because he believes he can go on.
