Miwako, Nomiya and Yamazaki are left in the half empty office and meanwhile, Ayu decides to clearly say no to the propsals from her downtown brothers. She talks to Ippei who comforts her and asks her to work over the Christmas for him again.

Hagu is concerned for Takemoto's well-being. In contrary to that, Takemoto finally clears his mind and realises that he is missing a goal, not a map. With that in mind, Takemoto destroys his thesis with a chair with the end of the fete.

In downtown Hamadayama, Ayu and Hagu both work for Ippei-san as the downtown boys slowly begin talking to Ayu again. And back in the office, Shuuji, Ayu, Hagu and Takemoto hold a quiet Christmas party and although no one says it, it is somewhat empty. As Shuuji starts Takemoto's engine, the night ends with the horrid Twister game.

The following day, they get together again and discuss Morita's state in graduating - all he has to do is complete the incomplete half of the macho statue. They also realise that because he's in his 8th year of uni, if he doesn't graduate this year, he'll be taken off the enrollment list anyway. Shuuji is however more worried for Takemoto. Takemoto rebuilds his tower and finds his way back to Kazuo's family home for the end of the year. To his relief, his mother gets on well with his family.

In the process of completing his thesis however, Takemoto develops a stomach ulcer and is carried to hospital where he has flashbacks of his real father. As he reaches out to hold his father's hand, he realises it is Kazuo's hand and decides to stay back a year at uni. When Hagu comes to see him, he finally too realises, that he was cared for so much, not only by his family, but also by her. Sadly, Shuuji interrupts before he can say anymore. As Hanamoto switches on the portable television to see the MocAdamy Awards, who they see... was a blonde Morita Shonbu
