As Mayama wakes up, he realises both Morita and Takemoto are in his room with him; Morita even wearing his shirt. After Morita and Mayama fight about work, fun and the shower, Mayama heads to work while the others to uni. Takemoto and Ayu discuss why Mayama decided to stay in the apartment despite finding a reasonably well paying job; Takemoto informing her that Mayama told him that there is something he wants.

As Hagu shows the crew the photo of her 20th, Morita teases her about it looking like her shichigosan - and unexpectedly, Shuuji returns from Mongolia.

They hold a welcome back party for Shuuji and Toudaiji-sensei in the usual spot (office). As they talk of his memories in Mongolia, the Hachikuro student group sees another face to Shuuji - that he too, is like them, when facing his teacher.

The next day, Hagu needs to go and buy equipment for her artwork, but due to work, Shuuji and Takemoto are both unable to go. As Morita offers to take her, Shuuji realises the change in their relationship which hurts Takemoto at heart. As Hagu returns, she too cries to Shuuji about her painful one-day date with Morita but is unsure of why she feels the way she does.
