Episode Seven

Mayama is beaten by Ayu's father after a mistake but the two as friends, go and each an early lunch; meanwhile, Morita and Takemoto are in the office and find Hagu's sketch of the giraffe they saw. Morita gets called out for work from Kaoru and leaves the scene. That night, Shuuji tells Hagu that he will be going to Mongolia with Tokudaiji-sensei for his research, asking Hagu to come with him. Shuuji reflects on his past with Hagu - growing up in an old country home with her grandmother, Hagu was unable to express her true artistic self due to the limited world she knew under the bitter words of her grandmother who was losing vision. After her grandmother's death, Hagu takes up Shuuji's offer to move to Tokyo to enter the university he teaches at. As he tells his memories to Rika, he laughs at the answer he got from Hagu - that she will be staying because she as lot of friends now; he was expecting her to say she would come, yet happy for her growth at the same time, feeling a bit of sadness. He says his good-byes to Rika who wishes him good luck. |

Mayama says his farewells to Rika as he returns the office keys. He gives her a bracelet and promises that he will come back to her after he grows as a professional, to aid her in her work again. The day of Shuuji's farewell party, the Hachikuro crew find themselves at Kasenjiki looking for a four-leaf clover to wish Shuuji goodluck. Although they were unable to find the clover, Shuuji is happy for everyone, especially Hagu's thoughts as they return to his apartment for the party. |
